Suzano strengthens partnerships with Chinese stakeholders at CIIE 2024

Shanghai, November 6 2024 – Suzano, the world’s leading market pulp producer, is attending this year’s China International Import Expo (CIIE), underscoring its continued efforts to enhance collaboration with local stakeholders in the country.

Guided by the ambition of “planting the future for the next 100 years”, Suzano uses this platform to highlight its role in the transition towards a more circular and sustainable economy and present new and innovative bio-based solutions to its Chinese stakeholders.

Suzano today also announced several key milestones at the opening ceremony of its Exhibit Booth:

• Receipt of a plaque on Pilot Enterprise for Maritime Trade Digitization from the Lin-gang Special Area, Shanghai, in recognition of Suzano’s innovative approach to digitizing the maritime documentation process, together with its up- and down-stream partners along the value chain.

• Signing respective agreements with Libang Paper, Baoding Yusen Sanitary Health Supplies and Jinboshi Group to develop the first tissue products using 100% hardwood pulp originating from Suzano’s planted eucalyptus.

• Signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Bank of Communications which will deepen the existing partnership between both parties.

CIIE 2024 will also see Suzano, alongside its business partners China Paper Corporation, Baoding Yusen Sanitary Health Supplies and COSCO Shipping Specialized Carriers, unveil four special editions of tissue boxes. These will feature sustainability-themed drawings by school children in China, selected through a competition as part of Suzano’s “Green Life, Blue Future” program – a series of nature-focused education activities aimed at increasing awareness of the importance of environmental protection and sustainability among younger generations in China.
